It’s A Great Start But More Funding Is Needed
ImageCreek daylighting design work has been funded and is complete. Water began running through the culvert to the lake in November 2007. Additional funding for bridges, railings and trails is being sought. In addition, we hope to link in the headwaters of the Madrona Creek in 2008, with another culvert under 38th Ave.

Here is a more specific breakdown of what we need to fully fund the project.

2008 Proposed Project Budget
Image
- General Contractor (2008 creek and culvert construction) - $160,000
- Pedestrian Bridge, Overlook and Trail - $15,000
- Native Plants - $18,000 (planted by community volunteers)
Geotech Engineer - DPD Rep., Special Inspections - $4,000
Landscape Architect - $10,000
Subtotal Needed, 2008 Project - $207,000
To finish 2007 construction, we need the following:
- Two Pedestrian Bridges - $35,000
- Trail Construction - $5,000
- Wood Railing (along sidewalk and trail) - $5,000
Subtotal Needed, 2007 construction -  $45,000
