Though much of the area near the trails has now been cleared and re-vegetated with native plants, there are still large parts of the Woods covered with invasive ivy, holly, laurel and blackberries. Monthly work parties continue to focus on removal and re-vegetation, mulching, weeding and other maintenance. Please consider taking a few hours out of your Saturday to roll up your sleeves and help. Dig your hands into the earth, haul a few wheelbarrows full of mulch, tear out those nasty ivy vines. You'll feel great for pitching in! See our volunteer page for upcoming work party details. |
